Terms and Conditions

The terms and conditions outlined herein establish the agreement between you and Uckfield Airport Taxi. By booking a taxi and availing our services, you unequivocally acknowledge and accept the terms and conditions as presented in this agreement.

1. Definitions

The terms “Uckfield Airport Taxi,” “we,” or “us” refer to the service-providing company. The terms “you” and “your” encompass any individual, business, or company making a booking with us.

2. Booking

2.1 Allocate sufficient time for your journey, particularly for airport transfers where adherence to flight check-in times is crucial. Uckfield Airport Taxi is not liable for delays resulting from your failure to allocate adequate time or be ready for collection at the specified time.

2.2 Ensure you order a car of suitable size for passengers and luggage. We do not guarantee the transportation of excessive luggage. Children, regardless of age, count as individual passengers.

2.3 Requests for wheelchair access should be made at the time of booking.

3. Prices & Payment

3.1 Our quote, exclusive of VAT (unless stated otherwise), is based on information provided by you. We reserve the right to modify the quote in the event of significant changes to the itinerary.

3.2 The quote includes a 45-minute waiting period and airport parking costs. Any waiting time beyond this will be subject to the standard Uckfield Airport Taxi waiting rate.

3.3 Confirm the booking confirmation for accuracy. Failure to notify Uckfield Airport Taxi of errors absolves us of responsibility for resulting delays or costs.

3.4 Payment methods include cash, credit card, or debit card.

4. The Service

4.1 You are accountable for the behavior of all passengers during the journey. Charges may apply for vehicle soiling, damage, or negative impact.

4.2 Consumption of food, beverages, or smoking is prohibited in the car.

4.3 Ensure appropriate restraint for children based on height, weight, and age.

4.4 Adherence to licensing or insurance passenger limits is mandatory.

5. Cancellations

5.1 Timely notification of cancellations is crucial. Post-dispatch cancellations incur charges based on the distance covered by the driver.

5.2 Online booking cancellations pre-dispatch may be subject to charges.

6. Liability

6.1 While Uckfield Airport Taxi strives for punctuality, we are not liable for losses due to uncontrollable delays. No circumstances warrant liability for losses incurred by you or your business.

6.2 Luggage is carried at your own risk.

6.3 In the event of a breakdown, alternative transportation will be arranged.

6.4 You won’t indemnify Uckfield Airport Taxi for expenses, damages, or losses from actions or omissions by anyone in your party.

6.5 Liability limitations are not applicable for personal injury, death, negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation, or wilful default, as defined by applicable laws.

7. Termination

7.1 We reserve the right to terminate or reject bookings if any risk to vehicles or drivers arises from abuse, violence, or damage. No refunds will be provided for terminated journeys.

8. Miscellaneous

8.1 Uckfield Airport Taxi may subcontract obligations. You may not transfer rights or obligations under this agreement.

8.2 Terms may be altered by Uckfield Airport Taxi, with changes reflected on this page. Existing bookings adhere to rates in effect at the time of booking.

8.3 Data is processed under the Data Protection Act of 1988.

8.4 This agreement constitutes the entire understanding between Uckfield Airport Taxi and yourself.

8.5 No third party benefits from these terms without written agreement.

9. Disputes

Any dispute or claim must be made within 30 days of the booking pickup date. Claims after this period will not be entertained by Uckfield Airport Taxi.
